Frequently
Asked Questions

What difference will the RE:NEW Initiative make?

  • We want our church to look and feel relevant and welcoming to our modern city, culture, and neighbors who don’t yet know Jesus.

  • Great Children’s and Youth Ministry environments are vital to reaching families and raising the next generation of Christ followers.

  • We are called to be good stewards of our church facility so that it can be useful for the kingdom for many years and generations to come.

Why are local and global projects part of the RE:NEW Initiative?

  • As God is bringing renewal to us, the local and global projects allow us to bring renewal beyond our walls to our community and global partners.

How were phases and order determined?

  • We considered areas of greatest impact and usage, oldest areas and most in need of updating, areas of first impression and visibility, and areas for children and youth. Our ministry calendar and seasonal considerations also impact when certain phases can be done.

What is the First Fruits Offering on November 20?

  • The First Fruits Offering concept comes from the Bible (Prov 3:9). It was an offering of the first part of the harvest. Trusting God with our first and best invites him to bless the rest. Our First Fruits Offering represents our first and best gift given to begin our RE:NEW Initiative. If we receive the first $100,000 or more for this offering on Nov. 20, Celebration Sunday, we will be able to begin Phase 1 soon after.

Can I give specifically to one phase?

  • We encourage all gifts to support the entirety of our planned phases and projects. However, if you have a specific interest, project or entire phase you’d like to make happen, please contact our Lead Pastor, Mark Krenz or our Executive Pastor, Roger McDaniel at 614.451.8745.

Can I volunteer to help with various projects and phases?

  • “Sweat equity” is one way you can contribute in addition to financially investing in our RE:NEW Initiative. If you want to volunteer your time, professional skills and services, or materials and supplies, let us know on the space indicated on the Commitment Card attached to this brochure or at meadowpark.org/renew and we will follow up with you.
